The European Conference on Computational Optimization (EUCCO) series was started in 2004. The first edition took place in Dresden, and was followed in 2007 by a conference in Montpellier, and in 2013 by a conference in Chemnitz. The 2016 edition will be held in Leuven, Belgium. It is organised by the KU Leuven Center of Excellence on Optimization in Engineering (OPTEC), and by the TEMPO Marie Curie Initial Training Network: Training in Embedded Predictive Control and Optimization.
The scope of the conference series is quite broad as it aims to bring together scientists from a diversity of subdisciplines from the fields of computational optimization, algorithms and applications. The current edition will have special emphasis on Embedded Optimization and Optimization in Engineering, but will also continue its more traditional focus on large scale optimization, optimization with partial differential equations, and numerical optimization algorithms and software.
